Fabrizio Giannone, the Italian designer known worldwide for his exquisite craftsmanship with Brazilian gemstones and the creation of beautiful jewellery for women, has finally brought his collection to South Africa. The designer’s bold creations combine the best of Italian elegance and femininity with the sophistication and style of Brazil.
The Italian design sophistication of the range can be seen in pieces utilizing exotic leathers, such as tilapia fish, stingray, ostrich, python and shark, incorporating designer’s handbags, accessories, and jewellery collection. With more than 25 stores throughout Brazil, and six overseas – in Palm Beach, Panama, New York, Nicaragua, Mexico and Costa Rica, South Africa is proud to be the first country to welcome Fabrizio Giannone onto the African continent.
Fabrizio Giannone’s latest collection is inspired by the 50s era, and each piece is handcrafted and unique. Exotic leathers such as python, ostrich and sharkskin are present in his rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces and mixed with large semi-precious Brazilian gemstones. Inspired by nature, unusual shapes such as iguanas, bees and snakes were used in his bracelet, belt and brooch designs. Delicate shapes like triangles and flowers are added for more detail and femininity.
The leather clutches and purses in his latest range are cut using laser technology, and each is further crafted with elaborate hand workmanship and jewel details.
In this collection, Fabrizio Giannone has also invited well-known international model, Fernanda Motta, to design a Limited Edition Collection. Motta, who has always been fascinated by the world of accessories, was keen to let her creative side show, and in partnership with Fabrizio created thirty items that bear her signature – Fernanda Motta by Fabrizio Giannone.
